MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of our club is to assist students of East Los Angeles College to satisfactorily realize their full potential in successfully transferring to four year universities of their choice.
The club also encourages students not to allow themselves to be restricted by their environment and circumstances. Any person regardless of the adversity and trials they undergo or have undergone can transcend beyond their present and past, can receive the full benefits that the educational and labor world have to offer. The East Side Spirit and Pride Club hopes to establish an irrevocable sense of pride and delight in the school and the surrounding community.
In addition, the club desires to instill a strong spirit of self-esteem and dignity in the students' outlook in their own capabilities and competence. An unfaltering feeling of confidence and desire for achievement is encouraged in the club.
In conclusion, our club hopes to enable students to understand their true abilities concerning education and literature.
